Anatomical Pathology Department

  • Diagnosis of various diseases, including tumors, and this is done by microscopic examination of tissues, Body fluids, blood and bone marrow samples
  • Writing detailed reports, communicating with doctors, and discussing some cases in weekly meetings to develop an appropriate treatment plan.
  • In addition to histological examination and cell examination, the department provides the Frozen section service, through which tissues are frozen at low temperatures and an immediate report is written to diagnose some cases that require a decisive surgical decision.
  • The department provides various immunostaining stains, which help in diagnosing diseases and tumors, on the basis of which accurate treatment plans for diseases are built.
  • The department's specialists have experience dealing with blood and bone marrow samples, brain tumor samples and kidney disease samples with high accuracy.
  • Communicate with major international medical institutions, including the Canadian American Society, and review the latest research and various scientific publications in the field of pathology.
  • Evaluating cases of aspiration by needles and providing the doctor with an initial result of the case, especially cases of endoscopy using ultrasound (EUS).
  • Histopathology laboratory staff consists of three specialists, five technicians and a department secretary.
