Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP-UK) Visits Patient Friends Society – Ahli Hospital in Hebron

A delegation from Medical Aid for Palestinians – United Kingdom (MAP-UK Medical) visited Ahli Hospital in Hebron. The visiting delegation was received by Dr. Youssef Takrouri, General Director of the hospital, Dr. Arwa Al-Falah, Medical Director, Mr. Bassam Al-Natsha, Mr. Khaled Al-Sharif, and Ms. Asmaa Sultan from the Public Relations Department.

The delegation included Ms. Aisha Mansour, Director of MAP-UK in the West Bank, Ms. Na’ila Handoush, Deputy Director, and Dr. Anas Ashqar, Director of Medical Programs.

The visit included a working session during which the hospital’s General Director presented an overview of the current healthcare situation and the challenges facing the health sector, emphasizing the importance of joint cooperation in supporting medical services for patients and the local community. The session also explored potential areas of collaboration between the two organizations and included the screening of a documentary highlighting the departments and activities of Ahli Hospital.

Following the session, the delegation toured various hospital departments, observing the medical services provided and the departments’ needs under the current circumstances.

At the conclusion of the visit, the MAP-UK delegation expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Friends of the Patient Society – Ahli Hospital and its staff in delivering high-quality healthcare, as well as their commitment to education and training programs for resident doctors and the nursing school despite existing challenges. The delegation affirmed the organization’s commitment to strengthening future cooperation to serve the Palestinian health sector.
