A delegation from the Service Purchase Department at the Ministry of Health visits Al-Ahly Hospital

The delegation of the Service Purchase Department headed by its Director General, Dr. Haitham Al-Hadry and the medical audit staff Dr. Nadim Al-Jabarin, Dr. Abdel Aziz Shweikeh, Dr. Tariq Amr and Dafadi Dana, and the director of financial affairs in the department, Mr. Firas, the scholars of Al-Ahly Hospital, where they were received by the president and members of the administrative board of the Patient’s Friends Association and the administration of Al-Ahly Hospital.



The visit came within the vision of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas and the directives of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh and Minister of Health Dr. Mai Al-Kaila to see the degree of response of Al-Ahly Hospital and its role in treating Corona patients, and on the other hand, to see the conditions of patients transferred from the Ministry of Health, especially the procedures that were entered into the hospital after a decision Localization of medical services, such as procedures in the nuclear medicine department, such as radioactive iodine treatment, ultrasound scans, pediatric heart surgery, gastroenterology, endoscopy, chest and lung surgery, and others...



The delegation listened to a detailed explanation of the challenges facing the hospital, especially after the closure of the outpatient clinics and the physiotherapy department and its transformation into an intensive care department to treat Corona patients with a capacity of 30 beds equipped with all equipment and supplies. Corona virus, especially since this family is completely full, and the number of patients admitted to this department has exceeded 200 since the beginning of the pandemic...



The association’s administrative board confirmed that the measures it is taking in the face of the Corona virus are among its main goals for which the Al-Ahly Hospital was established, which is a moral and patriotic duty, and stressed that treating Corona patients is expensive, especially for intensive care patients, because of the examinations, radiographs, devices, and medical and nursing care they need, except We will adopt prices for patients transferred from the Ministry of Health according to the signed agreements... On the other hand, we demand the Ministry of Health to support the National Hospital by paying part of its financial entitlements instead of buying the service in order to continue and be steadfast, especially in these difficult circumstances.



At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the medical departments to see the hospital's readiness and met the working medical staff.
