Successful cerebral catheterization surgery at Al-Ahli Hospital / Hebron

A brain catheterization surgery was performed in Al-Ahly Hospital for a patient who entered the Neurosurgery Department in an urgent condition. The surgery was performed in the Interventional Neurosurgery Department under the supervision of the interventional surgery specialist Dr. Sharif Basal and a staff of colleagues working in the Interventional Neurosurgery Department.

The patient was suffering from complete occlusion of the right carotid artery that feeds the brain with occlusion of more than 70% of the left carotid artery. An interventional cerebral catheter was performed and a stent was placed in the left carotid artery

The operation was completed successfully, and the patient was discharged from the hospital in good health condition and returned to his normal life.
