Al-Haj Yosri Dweik Cancer Center & Palliative Therapy

Funding Status Funder: the sons of the late Hajj Yousri Al-Dweik.



Objective: The project aims to establish the Al-Ahli Specialized Oncology Center, which will address all issues related to cancer.

Project status: begin on 6/2025

The project concept is to establish a comprehensive and specialized oncology center that includes various cancer treatment services. All existing cancer services available at the hospital will be transferred to the new center. All new cancer treatment specialties will also be added, helping to provide comprehensive medical services to Palestinian patients. Construction of this center has begun in June 2025 on the hospital grounds, with a generous donation from the sons of the late Hajj Yousri Al-Dweik, a piece of land is available for this project west of the hospital, next to the Saadia building. It will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will cover an area of 5,746 square meters, comprising four floors. Upon completion of the second phase, the building will consist of seven floors with a total area of 10,060 square meters. This center will include all the necessary services for cancer patients, equipped with the latest equipment, as follows:

  • Radiotherapy, a nuclear medicine department (gamma imaging, positron emission tomography, and isolation rooms).
  • Day-care chemotherapy, radiology, a pharmacy, outpatient clinics, and interventional radiology.
